Maurice Creek dealt with a lot of physical trauma during his time in Bloomington. But the emotional stress he is under right now in Ukraine makes those injuries seem relatively insignificant. The 31-year-old Creek has been playing professional basketball in Ukraine since 2019.  In January he signed with MBC MYKOLAIV of the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague. Indiana absolutely needed a win, and they got it.  The Hoosiers knocked off Maryland 74-64 in Bloomington on Thursday evening to snap a five-game losing streak and keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Indiana defeated Maryland by a final score of 74-64 on Thursday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. Did you know — the USFL is making its return in 2022. The league last played in 1985 before collapsing financially after the 1986 USFL Draft. Now the USFL will attempt what it and others have tried unsuccessfully before — to became America’s spring football league. Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo is approaching the Big Ten record for overall wins by a league coach with at least 10 years in the conference. Izzo has a career record of 661-263 (.715) and needs two more wins to become the all-time leader. The man he will pass is former Indiana coach Bob Knight, who won 662 games in 29 years in Bloomington (662-240, .734).
