IU basketball head coach Mike Woodson grew up in a small house in Indianapolis, brimming with 14 family members. He knows what it feels like to arrive on a college campus with an opportunity to provide stability and comfort for loved ones. Ultimately, he did just that. So it should come as no surprise, Woodson fully supports the idea of college athletes monetizing their name, image and likeness. “I’m not against players getting paid, I’ve said that numerous times,” he said at a fundraiser in Fort Wayne this week. But Woodson has also spent most of his adult life in…

Indiana (25-28, 10-12 B1G) built its 3-2 lead with four in the first, five in the second and four in the third inning, as Iowa (31-17, 15-7 B1G) got two in the first. The NBA Draft Combine began on Wednesday, but Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was noticeably absent from the event. Jackson-Davis is not participating in some and perhaps all aspects of the Combine, and there are multiple reports suggesting this comes after the IU star tested positive for COVID-19. Jackson-Davis was not included in the Wednesday participant measurements (height, wingspan, etc.) on the NBA’s website, and he was not listed as a participant in on-court testing activities. Moreover, Jackson-Davis was not listed as a participant on the Thursday and Friday 5-on-5 scrimmage rosters. Jackson-Davis is not certain to be drafted according to…
