Mike Woodson’s recruiting pitch has been right down the middle of the strike zone lately. On Tuesday night, the 64-year-old righthander will test his throwing arm in Indianapolis. Woodson will throw out the first pitch at Victory Field just before IU baseball takes on Butler at 6:30 p.m. Eastern in the Circle City. Parker Stewart will return to UT Martin for his final season of college basketball. The 6-foot-5 guard arrived at IU from UT Martin in January, 2021 after his father and UT Martin head coach Anthony Stewart passed prior to the 2020-21 season. The Nike EYBL Circuit was in the north Indianapolis suburbs over the weekend, and The Daily Hoosier was there all three days to get a closer look at some of the players Indiana is recruiting in the classes of 2023 through 2025. The younger brother of an IU nemesis is being recruited by the Hoosiers. Indiana offered class of 2024 6-foot-6 combo guard Dylan Harper on Sunday.  He is the younger brother of former Rutgers star Ron Harper, Jr., and the son of long-time NBA veteran Ron Harper. Indiana didn’t land West Virginia transfer guard Sean McNeil, but they’ll see more of him next year. The 6-foot-3 McNeil wrapped up a visit at Indiana on Friday, but it was his next visit that sealed the deal. McNeil left Bloomington for Columbus, Ohio, and he left there a Buckeye.  He announced his commitment to Ohio State on Sunday evening. Ohio State will likely need to replace a significant scoring load if E.J. Indiana forward Jordan Geronimo announced on Sunday he will return to the program for a third season. “Let’s get to it!!,” Geronimo said in a Twitter post accompanied by a video that ended with “I’m back.” The 6-foot-6 and 225 pound Geronimo played in 34 games off the bench in 2021-22 and averaged 4.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per contest.  He tied for second on the team with 24 blocked shots, and among per-40-minute stats, he was seventh in the Big Ten in blocks and rebounds.  Aided by his more than 40-inch vertical and plus-six wingspan, Geronimo…

With the signing of class of 2022 forward Malik Reneau earlier this week, Indiana is officially at the maximum of 13 players on scholarship as of this writing. There are still moving parts to sort out, including Trayce Jackson-Davis’ decision to stay in or exit the NBA Draft.
