Indiana head coach Teri Moren had hinted on multiple occasions that her former star guard Ali Patberg had a future in college basketball after her playing career came to an end. This week Moren gave Patberg her first chance. We are in the heart of leaking the non-conference schedule season, and IU basketball’s first low/mid-major for the 2022-23 campaign surfaced on Friday morning. According to college basketball analyst Rocco Miller, Indiana will host Kennesaw State on Dec. 23 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. The game will mark the third meeting between the programs, with the prior two meetings coming during the Tom Crean era.  Indiana won 90-66 in 2013, and 99-72 in 2015.  Both prior contests were also played in Bloomington. The 6-foot-8 Reneau averaged 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds this past season, including 14.3 points and 8.3 rebounds at the GEICO High School Nationals. A second member of the McCullough family has departed the IU football program. Class of 2023 4-star defensive back Daeh McCullough announced on Thursday he has decommitted from Indiana.  He is the son of two-time former running backs coach Deland McCullough, who left IU following the 2021 season to take the same job at Notre Dame. “I would like to thank everyone at Indiana University for everything they have done for me and my family ever since I was a child,” Daeh McCullough wrote in a graphic posted on his Twitter page. “Second, I want to thank the staff for…

Indiana has focused in on the combination of length and perimeter shooting as a priority for its remaining openings in the class of 2023. Massachusetts based 6-foot-9 forward T.J. Power has made a strong impression this spring and IU offered a couple weeks ago.  Playing for Boston-based BABC on the Nike EYBL Circuit, Power averaged 18.3 points on 44.3 percent shooting from three, and added 8.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game during the second live period. The NBA Draft Combine began on Wednesday, but Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was noticeably absent from the event. Jackson-Davis is not participating in some and perhaps all aspects of the Combine, and there are multiple reports suggesting this comes after the IU star tested positive for COVID-19. Jackson-Davis was not included in the Wednesday participant measurements (height, wingspan, etc.) on the NBA’s website, and he was not listed as a participant in on-court testing activities. Andrej Stojakovic’s recruitment has turned into a battle royale of heavyweight contenders, and Indiana is in the ring. The emerging class of 2023 small forward has begun the process of sifting through his long list of suitors and now has a group of schools he plans to visit.
