The Daily Hoosier caught up with class of 2023 forward JQ Roberts at the Bill Hensley Run-N-Slam in Fort Wayne, Ind. over the weekend. As a junior, the Bloomington High School North product averaged 14.4 points and a team high 9.1 rebounds per game during the 2021-22 season, as he helped lead the Cougars to the semistate round of the Indiana Class 4A tournament in March. After six weeks of chaos, Indiana’s 2022-23 roster seems to be down to just a couple moving parts, the most significant of which is Trayce Jackson-Davis’ NBA Draft decision. The Greenwood, Ind. product put his name in the Draft last month, and he has since been preparing in California for the opportunity to show NBA teams what he is capable of at the next level. It won’t be Archie vs. Sean, but according to a report Indiana is a finalizing a deal to play Arizona in Las Vegas in December. CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein is reporting via multiple sources the two schools are finalizing plans to play at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Dec. 10. Gabe Cupps isn’t scheduled to arrive at Indiana for more than a year, but already his spring schedule has sent him to the Hoosier State on multiple occasions. Playing for the Midwest Basketball Club, Cupps has spent two weekends in Fort Wayne and another in Noblesville over the last month. Wichita State transfer Dexter Dennis took an official visit to Indiana a few weeks ago, and went straight to Clemson from there. Since then his list of potential landing spots for his final season of college basketball has only seemingly grown. The 6-foot-5 Dennis announced a final-six on Wednesday that included Indiana and Clemson, along with Kansas State, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Georgia Tech.
