Indiana left-handed pitcher Tommy Sommer was taken in the 10th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Chicago White Sox with the No. 305 overall pick. With right-handers McCade Brown and Gabe Bierman going in the third and seventh round respectively, the Hoosiers had their entire weekend starting pitching rotation taken in Day 2 of the draft. Indiana right-handed pitcher Matt Litwicki was drafted in the 10th round of the Major League Baseball draft on Monday with the 286th overall pick. Litwicki missed the entire 2018 season after Tommy John surgery and pitched limited innings out of the bullpen throughout his career. In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, he posted a 0.90 ERA and six strikeouts in 10 innings. This season, he posted four saves and 17 strikeouts in 10 innings, but posted a 4.50 ERA.

The 6-foot-6 Brown was named second-team All-Big Ten this season, posting a 5-4 record, a 3.39 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched.
