    A look at where former IU basketball players are competing in the G League and overseas

    Former IU basketball stars are continuing their pro careers across the globe this season.

    Below we take a look at the former IU basketball players who are still competing professionally during the 2024-25 season, either in the NBA’s G League or overseas.

    NBA G League

    Race Thompson:  After sitting out a year with an injury, Thompson is with the Memphis Hustle.  He has played in 16 games and is averaging 8.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per contest.  He’s shooting 47.8% from the field and 34.1% from three.

    Xavier Johnson:  Johnson is a teammate of Thompson on the Memphis Hustle.  He has played in 11 games and is averaging 7.2 points, 5.4 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in 21.1 minutes per game.  He’s shooting 32.9% overall and 26.7% from three.

    Miller Kopp:  Kopp is in his second season with the Oklahoma City Blue.  In 16 games he’s averaging 11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 44.1% from the field overall including 42.6% from beyond the arc.

     Romeo Langford:  Langford played three games in France’s top-tier league in November but his G League return rights were acquired by the Motor City Cruise.  He hasn’t played a game for them yet.  He played for the Salt Lake City Stars last season.

    International Leagues

    Yogi Ferrell:  Ferrell is playing in Montenegro for Buducnost.  He’s averaging 11.9 points in 25.9 minutes in Eurocup action, and 10.2 points in 22.6 minutes in ABA action.

    Juwan Morgan:  Morgan is Ferrell’s teammate with Buducnost.  He’s playing 25.9 minutes per game in EuroCup action and posting 11.1 points while shooting an incredible 85.3% from two and 47.8% from three.  He’s averaging 17.7 minutes and 6.6 points in ABA League action.

    Devonte Green:  Green is playing in Sweden for Norrkoping.  He’s averaging 11.3 points in 24.1 minutes per game.

    Al Durham:  Durham is playing in Spain for Girona.  He’s averaging 10.3 points in 23.9 minutes per game.

    Justin Smith:  Smith is playing in Israel for H. Jerusalem.  He’s averaging 14.4 points in 22 minutes per game.

    Joey Brunk:  Brunk is playing in the Czech Republic for Pardubice.  He’s averaging 13.5 points in 26.5 minutes per game.

    Freddie McSwain:  McSwain is playing in Japan for Yamaguchi.  He’s averaging 10.3 points in 24.3 minutes per game.

    Anthony Walker:  Walker is playing in Bulgaria for Beroe.  He’s averaging 22.3 points in 30.2 minutes per game.

    Robert Johnson appears to have signed with Rimini in Italy over the summer but he has not appeared in any games to this point.
