2024 4-star forward Jesse McCulloch names top eight, plans to visit IU

Jesse McCulloch, a four-star center in the class of 2024, has narrowed his list of suitors down to eight schools: Alabama, Indiana, Kent State, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Xavier.

McCulloch told On3’s Joe Tipton he has an early March official visit set up to Michigan State, and he’d like to officially visit Indiana and Xavier, although dates are not set yet for those two.  He also recently visited Alabama.

The 6-foot-9 McCulloch previously took an unofficial visit to Indiana in the fall after the Hoosiers offered in July.  He played AAU basketball for the Indy Heat program.  He was teammates with 2025 IU targets Trent Sisley and Jalen Haralson.

The 6-foot-9 McCulloch attends Lutheran East H.S. in Cleveland, Ohio.  On3 ranks him as a 4-star and the No. 91 player in the 2024 class.  McCulloch projects as a stretch-four at the college level.

Tipton said Michigan State is the favorite to land McCulloch, and other outlets have made similar statements.  McCulloch told Tipton he wants to make an early decision, so it is conceivable his recruitment won’t go much beyond the MSU visit.

Indiana currently has no commits in its 2024 class.

McCulloch recently released photos from his Indiana visit on his Twitter page.
