Video: Highlights of the Incoming IU Recruits at the Indiana All-Star Events

The incoming in-state trio of Damezi Anderson, Romeo Langford and Robert Phinisee have been busy over the last few days playing in the annual Indiana All-Star games.  The threesome is part of a five player top 10 2018 recruiting class that has Hoosier fans optimistic about the 2018-19 season.

On Wednesday they played in the Indiana seniors vs. juniors All-Star game in New Albany; on Friday they played in Louisville against the Kentucky All-Stars; and on Saturday they played in Indianapolis, again against the Kentucky All-Stars.

You can watch video from all three events below.

    SENIORS vs. JUNIORS GAME

The seniors won the game 111-101.

Romeo Langford had 26 points to lead the way for the seniors.  Damezi Anderson had 16 points and Robert Phinisee added 11.

IU targets Armaan Franklin and Brandon Newman had 20 and 18 points, respectively, to lead the way for the juniors.

This video is a bit more Romeo-centric as he plays his last game in New Albany.

INDIANA ALL-STARS AT KENTUCKY ALL-STARS (LOUISVILLE)

The Kentucky All-Stars surprised the Indiana All-Stars in Louisville on Friday night by a score of 100-89.

Romeo Langford led Indiana with 17 points.  Robert Phinisee added 11 and Damezi Anderson had 4.

You can clearly see the Kentucky guys playing with more energy and more of an edge.  Langford would allude to that in a post-game interview, noting that the Kentucky players “wanted it more”.  That made for an interesting setup to the Saturday re-match to see if the Indiana players took it personally and would respond.

KENTUCKY ALL-STARS AT INDIANA ALL-STARS (INDIANAPOLIS)

The Indiana All-Stars got redemption in a big way on the back end of the home and home series with a 109-81 blowout victory over the Kentucky All-Stars on Saturday night.

Romeo Langford led the way with a game high 22 points.  Damezi Anderson added 10 points and Robert Phinisee had 3.

You’ll see a side of Romeo that you may not have seen before here, as he responds with a bit of his own edge to some physical play by Kentucky.
