    Tom Allen and Mike DeBord Recap FIU, Preview Virginia

    Indiana University head football coach Tom Allen and offensive coordinator Mike DeBord met with the media on Monday to recap Saturday’s win over FIU and preview the upcoming contest on Saturday night against Virginia at Memorial Stadium.

    Below are the topics that Allen covered:

    • 17 total redshirt freshmen and true freshmen played in Saturday night’s game.
    • Starting running back Cole Gest tore his ACL and is out for the season.
    • 11 former IU players are on NFL rosters.
