Report: Indiana Has In-Home Visit With 2019 5-Star Isaiah Stewart

Archie Miller and his staff have had quite the impressive run of in-home visits over the last 10 days with a number of class of 2019 big men.  We previously told you about in-home visits with Trayce Jackson-Davis, Trendon Watford, and Keion Brooks, including an optimistic quote from Brooks that emerged after his visit.

Later we reported on their visit this past Friday with Matthew Hurt.

Now a Rivals report has stated that Archie Miller visited 5-star center Isaiah Stewart today.  That makes at least five big men in the overall 2019 top 30 that Indiana has visited in-home.  While the Hoosiers almost certainly won’t get them all, they have have done a nice job of increasing their odds of picking up one or two of the premier big men in the class.

TAKING A CLOSER LOOK AT ISAIAH STEWART

Indiana offered Stewart a scholarship back in April of 2017.  Stewart is from the same hometown as Thomas Bryant — Rochester, New York.  He considers Bryant to be like a big brother and he has indicated that he keeps in touch with the former IU forward.

In August of 2017 Stewart announced that he was leaving Rochester to play basketball for La Lumiere in La Porte, Indiana.  The 6-9, 240 lb center averaged 19.5 points and 12 rebounds on the 2017-18 season for La Lumiere.

Stewart has offers from several big programs including Duke, Louisville Kansas and Michigan State.

While listed as a center, Stewart has the ability to get out and run, handle the ball, and knock down the perimeter shot.  He is an elite athlete with a major college basketball ready physique.  You can watch his 2017-18 season mix tape here:
