The third and final July live period kicked off on Wednesday.  For class of 2019 players, this is their final run in AAU basketball.  We’ll continue to monitor IU related news and notes including who the coaches are watching.  Continue to check back here through the weekend.

    Sunday, July 29

Just as it should be under the inside-out approach to recruiting, Archie Miller wraps up the July live period back in the Hoosier state watching the two players who are likely the top two targets at this point — Trayce Jackson-Davis and Keion Brooks, Jr.  Brooks seems to have gone out in style.

And to do it on a couple sore knees… in front of #Indiana's Archie Miller, #UCLA's Steve Alford and #MichiganState's Tom Izzo… at @SpieceFitness

Archie Miller continuing to focus on D1 Minnesota’s Zeke Nnaji and Matthew Hurt out in Las Vegas.

Zeke Nnaji shooting it really well today. He becomes a major problem when the jumper is working. Greg Gard, Archie Miller, Richard Pitino, UCLA, Baylor, Ohio State watching.

Continuing to focus in on Anthony Harris and Team Takeover.

Archie was also spotted again watching Indiana Elite 2020 here.  Dane Fife in there too.  Whole bunch of guys with bad posture.

Multiple reports have Sean Miller watching Zeke Nnaji as a little brotherly battle ensues.  Ed Schilling was actually reported to be there watch Nnaji, Matthew Hurt and D1 Minnesota.

Rivals had Archie Miller also watching Jahmius Ramsey of Drive Nation, and Brandon Newman, D.J. Steward (2020) and Tyler Beard (2020) of Meanstreets.

Earlier in the day Miller watched Anthony Harris and Team Takeover:

Head coaches from Duke, UNC, UConn, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas St, Missouri, Illinois, South Carolina, Mississippi St, Rutgers, & Oregon (among others) watched @TTOBasketball v @STLEaglesBBall at #The8. Takeover advances to tomorrow’s final on @ESPNU.

    Thursday, July 26

The IU head coach has made his way back to the Hoosier state to watch the Indy Heat programs in Fort Wayne, including Trayce Jackson-Davis, Keion Brooks, Jr. (not playing), Jalen Blackmon, Caleb Furst, and others.

Archie Miller in the Summit City watching @calebfurst, @Jalenblackmon1 and @indy_heat. @KeionB_12 and his crew are up next on this court. #iubb pic.twitter.com/RmW5GxHvAD

Archie Miller spent much of Thursday in Orlando:

Tom Izzo, Chris Mack, Archie Miller, Dan Hurley and Leonard Hamilton just got done watching Rocket Watts and Isaiah Jackson for The Family. Several high-major assistants were in attendance as well.

    — Dan McDonald (@CoachD_Mac) July 26, 2018

Archie Miller also here along with assistants from Kansas and Illinois. https://t.co/Z6AtX7nikn

    — Dan McDonald (@CoachD_Mac) July 26, 2018

Rivals spotted an IU coach an the Under Armour event in Vegas.  The primary Indiana target there is likely Samari Curtis.  We’ll see if any new names emerge from that circuit.

Ed Schilling was watching Kira Lewis and Trendon Watford.  Lewis scored 28 in the game:

Continuing to keep eyes on the 2020 in-state Indiana Elite featuring Anthony Leal, Trey Galloway and Mabor Majak.

Matt Painter, Greg Lansing, James Whitford, Indiana, Nebraska, Butler, Notre Dame, Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Bowling Green among those watching Indiana Elite 2020.

    — Trevor Andershock (@INBBallSource) July 26, 2018

An IU assistant was also spotted by Prep Hoops’ Ryan James watching Matthew Hurt and Zeke Nnaji.

    Wednesday, July 25

Chris Mack, Archie Miller, John Beilein, Kevin Keatts, Dan Hurley, Scott Drew and Dennis Felton among the head coaches here at the Milk House for R.E.A.C.H Legends against Boo Williams in the AAU Super Showcase.

    — Jody Demling (@jdemling) July 26, 2018

Archie Miller appears to be in Orlando at the AAU Super Showcase.  Harlond Beverly, a guard out of Michigan that Indiana has been watching recently, plays on the REACH team.  Also in Orlando is Expressions Elite, which includes newly offered class of 2021 star Terrence Clarke.  Class of 2020 big man Zach Loveday is also playing in Orlando this week.

This Rivals report places an IU assistant in Las Vegas watching newly offered guard James Bouknight.  Also there in Vegas are Isaiah Stewart’s City Rocks squad, although the report indicates that Stewart is not playing.  City Rocks also includes recent class of 2020 offer recipient Andre Jackson.

Team Takeover product Anthony Harris played in the same facility later that evening in a high profile game.  You can see one of Harris’ best attributes — strength, here:

    — Capitol Hoops (@CapitolHoops) July 26, 2018

An Indiana assistant coach was also at another event in the Vegas area that included Matthew Hurt, Zeke Nnaji, Trendon Watford and Kira Lewis:

How about some more coaches from Notre Dame, Toledo, UNC, Lehigh, Kansas St, Idaho, Kansas, Indiana, Minnesota, Stanford, Xavier, Cal Poly, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Princeton, North Dakota, Ohio St, Butler, Baylor, Creighton, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Chattanooga and San Diego ‼️

    — EliteEventsUnlimited (@EEULLCDOTCOM) July 26, 2018

Lewis and Watford were both strong in their game, with 27 and 21, respectively.

Anthony Leal’s mother also tweeted out that IU was there watching the Indiana Elite 2020 team.
