Iowa State transfer Kenzie Hare has committed to Indiana women’s basketball, she announced on social media Sunday night.
Hare will be a redshirt senior next year, spending her final season of eligibility with the Hoosiers.
The Bartlett, Ill. native spent two years with the Cyclones, after playing her first two college seasons at Marquette. Hare averaged six points and 2.5 rebounds per game this past season, while shooting 40.5 percent from 3-point range.
The 5-foot-9 guard played in ISU’s first 10 games of the season, before opting to medically redshirt the rest of the season because of a pre-existing hip injury.
Hare’s best collegiate season was her sophomore year at Marquette in 2023-24. She led the Big East that year by shooting 42.5 percent on 3-pointers, and she averaged 14 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game.
The guard has a clear existing relationship with Lenée Beaumont. They grew up around 30 minutes away from each other, and they were AAU teammates at M14 Hoops.
Hare is the third transfer portal addition for Teri Moren’s program this offseason. She’s the second Iowa State player to join the Hoosiers, along with forward Alisa Williams.
