IU women’s basketball continues to have significant recruiting momentum.
On Friday, class of 2027 5-star senior forward Azy Jackson announced her commitment to the Hoosiers.
The 6-foot-4 Washington-based Jackson took an official visit to IU a few weeks ago. Jackson is the No. 20 overall ranked prospect in the class of 2027 according to ESPN.
Jackson picked IU over Kansas, USC, North Carolina and Cal.
“When it came to choosing Indiana, I really liked the small college town feel and the personal feeling of the visit. It felt genuine and started to feel like family,” Jackson told ESPN.
Jackson averaged 14.6 points and 14.8 rebounds per game as a junior at Bonney Lake High School (Bonney Lake, Washington). She will not play as a senior as she recovers from a summer injury.
IU landed the No. 8 2026 recruiting class according to ESPN, and they’re on track for another elite class.
The Hoosiers now have three top-75 players in the 2027 class. Jackson joins ESPN No. 24 Brookeslee Colvin, and ESPN No. 66 Finley Parker.
I can’t describe how happy I am to have found the place! God has been working throughout my entire basketball journey, even when I couldn’t see it. I’m thankful for every coach and every teammate that had an impact on my career so far. (Finished in comments) pic.twitter.com/IPrWPOYkmi
