Last week IU offensive line coach Bob Bostad said he was lacking depth in his position group.
He has filled at least some of the void with a familiar face.
The program announced Drew Evans has joined the team. Evans was on Wisconsin in 2022 under Bostad but he did not see the field as a freshman.
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Evans was a preferred walk-on at Wisconsin but he’ll be on scholarship at IU. Evans was a three sport athlete who played both guard and tackle at Fort Atkinson High School in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
Evans was a 2-star prospect according to 247Sports.
