(Updated:  We learned after publishing this story that Alexis Gassion is now playing in Switzerland.  We have made that update below.)

Earlier in the week we brought you the eight former IU stars now playing in the NBA.  (Update:  Troy Williams has since been released by New Orleans and we are awaiting word of his next landing spot.)

Several readers requested an update on the various former IU players now starring overseas or in the NBA G-League.

We acknowledge the Twitter handle @ProBallHoosiers for bringing several of these to our attention.  That account is a great follow for the day to day activities of all former IU athletes playing professional sports.

    • Jordan Hulls (Germany) Hulls is playing for s. Oliver Wurzburg in the Basketball Bundesliga League.  This is his fifth team since graduating from IU in 2013.  You can read our “Where are they Now” story on Hulls from a few months ago here.
    • D.J. White (Turkey) White is with Bahcesehir Koleji in the Basketbol Super Ligi in Turkey.  After a few years in the NBA, White has bounced around Europe and has now settled down in Turkey for a few years.  You can read our “Where are they Now” story on White from a few months ago here.
    • Will Sheehey (Portugal) Sheehey is with Porto in the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol.  He has spent time in the NBA G-League before settling in overseas.  You can read our “Where are they Now” story on Sheehey from a few months ago here.
    • Mo Creek (Ukraine) Creek is playing for Kyiv-Basket in the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague.  Creek transferred to George Washington after graduating from IU and is with his fifth team overseas.

    • Bracey Wright (Czech Republic) Wright recently signed with CEZ Nymburk in the Czech Republic where he will play in the NBL Champions League after playing for several years in Turkey.  You can read our “Where are they Now” story on Wright from a few months ago here.
    • James Blackmon, Jr. (Italy) After spending last season in the NBA G-League, Blackmon, Jr. is playing his first season with VL Pesaro of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A.
    • Earl Calloway (Turkey) Calloway plays in the Turkish Basketball First League.  After some early time in the NBA G-League, Calloway has made a long career playing in various spots overseas.

    • Freddie McSwain — McSwain is expected to be drafted by a NBA G-League team this weekend.
    • Josh Newkirk — Newkirk should end up with an invite from a NBA G-League team as well.

    HOOSIER WOMEN PLAYING PROFESSIONALLY

    • Linda Rubene plays for Singleton’s SuperValu Brunell in Ireland.
    • Alexis Gassion plays for the Geneve Elite Basket in Switzerland.
    • Tyra Buss, the program’s all-time IU scoring leader, was invited to the camp of the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun and has now landed in Greece.
