At least three former IU basketball players will be in action as the NBA tips off Summer League action this weekend.
Games in California and Utah tip Saturday, and in Las Vegas next week.
Playing for the Miami Heat beginning on Saturday will be Indiana’s last two starting centers, Kel’el Ware and Oumar Ballo.

When action opens in Las Vegas on July 10, former Indiana players Miller Kopp and Tamar Bates will be playing for the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets, respectively.
We’ll continue to monitor for other roster additions with IU connections.
From July 10-20, all 30 NBA teams will play at least five games, including four games from July 10-17. After each team’s first four games, the top four teams will advance to participate in the playoffs, beginning with a semifinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. CT and 5 p.m. CT on ESPN. The two winning teams from the semifinal games will meet in the championship game on Sunday, July 20 at 9 p.m. CT on ESPN.
The four playoff teams will be determined by winning percentage in each team’s first four games, with tiebreak criteria available here. The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on either Friday, July 18, Saturday, July 19 or Sunday, July 20.
All 76 games of the 11-day competition will air live on television on ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+ and ESPN3) or NBA TV. Every game will also be available to stream on the ESPN App. Fans can purchase tickets and experiences to the NBA 2K26 Summer League 2025 at NBAEvents.com.
