The 6-foot-7 Banks averaged 23.0 points, 10.0 boards and 1.4 steals per game during his senior season of high school. He secured over 2,000 career points and was named the Georgia Class 4A Player of the Year. A 4-star recruit, Banks was ranked No. 77 according to 247Sports. Watch as Indiana freshman CJ Gunn took questions from the media on Thursday afternoon via Zoom. The 6-foot-6 Gunn arrived at IU from Indianapolis Lawrence North H.S.  For the 2021-22 season, he averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. He shot 46.8 percent from the field including 37.4 percent from three on 123 attempts, and 71.3 percent from the stripe. Gunn was named the MVP of the Indiana vs. Kentucky All-Stars series after scoring 41 points in two games. Former IU baseball star and current Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber has hit 28 home runs over the last two months of June. According to Jayson Stark of the Athletic, he has the highest June home run rate of any player in the modern era, including second place Babe Ruth.  “That’s a pretty cool stat,” Schwarber said in the interview below. Hulls retired from his overseas basketball career to become the Team and Recruiting Coordinator at IU. Watch as Indiana freshman point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino met with the media on Thursday afternoon via Zoom. Hood-Schifino was a consensus top-25 prospect according to the four major national recruiting sites. The 6-foot-5 native of Pittsburgh is the highest rated incoming recruit in the Big Ten, and led his Montverde (Fla.)
