Indiana University basketball recruiting target Romeo Langford played two sectional games over the weekend as New Albany rolls on to the regional round of the Indiana state high school basketball tournament.  The Bulldogs improved to 23-1 on the season and they have now won 20 games in a row. On Friday night New Albany handled sectional host Seymour by a score of 82-42.  For the game Langford scored 32 points while his teammate Sean East, who hit 9 of his first 11 3-point attempts, added 31. Indiana University’s football program has sent a record five participants to the NFL’s scouting combine in Indianapolis.  Former Hoosier stars Simmie Cobbs, Chris Covington, Rashard Fant, Tegray Scales and Ian Thomas are all at the annual event at Lucas Oil Stadium. Updated April 7, 2018 It may seem like Indiana’s 2017 season just ended in West Lafayette, but that was more than three months ago and March is here.  Spring football practice begins for Indiana on Saturday, March 2. The Indiana University women’s basketball team may have run out of gas after last night’s amazing four overtime thriller against Michigan State.  On less than 24 hours rest the Hoosiers had to face the #2 seeded Maryland Terrapins. Indiana kept it close for much of the game but struggled to knock down shots late and Maryland eventually pulled away 67-54.  Indiana shot 39% from the field for the game including only 21% from distance. Indiana now sits at 17-14 and must wait and see if their late season improvement is enough to convince the NCAA selection committee to invite them…

You know that relaxed feeling that you had when Indiana ran out to a 24-8 first half lead?  The IU players had it too.  And it got them beat.  From that point forward Rutgers had more energy in just about every aspect of the game and it followed a red hot Corey Sanders to victory.  The Hoosiers’ misery in the Big Ten tournament continues, and now they are left to wait to see if they will be invited to any postseason play.  If you believe this NIT bracketology, Indiana was barely in that tournament before last night’s loss.  After so…

The Indiana University women’s basketball team survived perhaps the most dramatic game in the history of the Big Ten tournament with a thrilling 111-109 four overtime victory.  The Hoosiers improved to 17-13 on the season and keep their NCAA tournament hopes alive with the victory.
