Watch below as ESPN college football personality Kirk Herbstreit sat down with On3’s Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman and discussed the blowback he received after questioning Indiana’s worthiness to be in the College Football Playoff, among other topics.
Herbstreit was one of cacophony of voices over the last couple months who frustrated Indiana fans with a skeptical tone directed towards the Hoosiers.
Of particular note, Herbstreit made Indiana fans’ ears bleed when he said “IU was not a team that should’ve been on that field (against Notre Dame) when you consider other teams that could’ve been there.”
He probably came up short in this interview of validating that comment, and may have even contradicted himself by seeming to agree with the notion that no other team had a resume worthy of replacing the Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff.
