The 6-foot-6 Hood-Schifino was named the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Year on Tuesday.
The Pittsburgh, Pa. product has appeared in 28 games this season for the Hoosiers. In 32.6 minutes per contest, he’s averaging 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.9 turnovers and .9 steals per contest.
Hood-Schifino’s shooting splits are 42.1 percent from the field overall, 36.3 percent from three, and 78.3 percent from the free throw line.
