Indiana baseball head coach Jeff Mercer met with the media this week to preview the long awaited 2021 season.
For the first time in nearly a year, the Hoosiers are getting set to return to the diamond. The Hoosiers last played on March 11, 2020 and finished the pandemic shortened season with a 9-6 record. Indiana is the reigning Big Ten regular season champion and a popular pick to defend that title in 2021.
IU will first face Rutgers on Friday at 4 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
