Watch as 2 News WDTN profiled the legacy of IU freshman Gabe Cupps.
The 2022 Ohio Mr. Basketball and 2021 state champion played for his father at Centerville H.S. just outside of Dayton, Ohio.
As a senior at Centerville, Cupps averaged 15.4 points, 6.2 assists, 1.9 turnovers, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. He shot 49.5 percent overall, 39.5 percent from three (on 119 attempts), and 91.6 percent from the free throw line.
According to the On3 Industry Average, Cupps is a 4-star point guard, and the No. 103 overall player in the 2023 class.
