Two of IU’s top in-state point guard targets in the classes of 2022 and 2023 went head-to-head yesterday at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
Westfield High School incoming junior Braden Smith and McCutcheon High School incoming sophomore Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn faced off in a Saturday morning tilt at the Pacers Athletic Center. Both players had strong performances, with Smith playing for the 2022 Grand Park Premiere and Gibbs-Lawhorn running with Indiana Elite 2023. The highly competitive matchup went to overtime with Grand Park coming out on top.
