Indiana has seen several players come and go via the transfer portal since the season ended, and the departures continued this week with three more Hoosiers announcing their intent to move on.

On Saturday, linebacker Cam Williams became the latest to enter the portal.  The Merrillville, Ind. product came to IU as part of the class of 2019.  The former Andrean High School star was a 4-star in that class and he was ranked the No. 4 prospect in Indiana and the No. 11 outside linebacker nationally by Rivals. For his career Williams played in 17 games including all 12 in 2021, participating both on the defense and special teams this season.  He recorded one tackle over his IU career.

Walk-on running back Chris Childers put his name in the portal on Friday.  Childers entered 2021 fall camp well down the depth chart, but after the departures of Sampson James and Tim Baldwin, he was featured regularly in the offense.  On the season he had 37 carries for 137 yards and a touchdown.  He added three receptions for 16 yards.  Childers transferred to IU from Indiana State prior to the 2020 season.

Defensive tackle Shamar Jones also entered the portal earlier in the week.  The Johnstown, Penn. product participated in 16 games throughout his four seasons in Bloomington.  He had eight tackles including two for a loss and a half of a sack.  Jones was ranked the No. 90 defensive tackle nationally and the No. 27 prospect in Pennsylvania by ESPN out of high school.  He picked IU over Wake Forest.
