Indiana head women’s basketball coach Teri Moren is representing the United States once again.
Moren is serving as USA Basketball’s U19 women’s national team for the second consecutive summer. She led the team to a gold medal last year at the FIBA Women’s U19 World Cup. She previously served as an assistant coach for the gold-medal winning U.S. U19 team in 2023, along with the 2018 U18 team, which won gold at the FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championship.
Notre Dame head coach Niele Ivey and South Florida head coach Jose Fernandez join Moren on the national team’s staff. Their U.S. team will compete at the FIBA Women’s World Cup in Brno, Czech Republic from July 12-20.
“It is an honor to be leading the 2025 USA Basketball Women’s U19 National Team along with Coach Ivey and Coach Fernandez,” Moren said in Indiana’s press release. “I am grateful to represent our country on the international stage and look forward to the opportunity to once again pursue a gold medal for our nation.”
Moren is entering her 12th season in Bloomington. This offseason has been particularly critical for her program, with six players leaving for the transfer portal and five new players transferring in.
