While he won’t play on Tuesday evening, point guard Xavier Johnson looks much closer to a return.
The fifth-year point guard wore the team’s pre-game warmups and put himself through a much more intense shooting routine than what we’ve seen over the last month.
Johnson left the court in a full sweat, and he was likely getting back in the routine to prepare for a possible return on Sunday when IU hosts Michigan.

Also not playing on Tuesday is junior forward Jordan Geronimo.
Geronimo emerged from the tunnel during pre-game wearing a boot on his right foot.

The program made the following statement pre-game regarding Johnson, Geronimo and Anthony Leal:
“Junior forward Jordan Geronimo is out with a lower right leg injury. Junior guard Anthony Leal is out with a lower leg injury. Senior guard Xavier Johnson dressed for warmups but Coach Woodson announced last night he will not play.”
