    IU men’s soccer defeats Lipscomb, advances in NCAA Tournament

    IU men’s soccer defeated Lipscomb 2-1 at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington Thursday evening to advance in the NCAA Tournament.

    Freshman Collins Oduro found the back of the net from 20 yards out to give the Hoosiers a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute.

    Maouloune Goumballe added a dagger in the 74th minute.

    It was Goumballe’s fourth goal in as many matches.

    Lipscomb scored in the 83rd minute but the Hoosiers held on to advance.

    The Hoosiers (13-4-4) will play at No. 10 seed Wake Forest (11-2-5) in the round of 32 on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
