No position has seen more change on the defensive side for IU football than the linebacker position.
The Hoosiers must replace the heart-and-soul of their defense, as Micah McFadden will wait to see if his name is called during the NFL Draft later this month.
Cam Jones has started every game he was available (18) over the last two seasons at the stinger spot, and he will return for a fifth season of college football. But with three transfers out in the middle and another loss due to eligibility, IU will fill the spot next to him on the depth chart with unknowns and transfers, including a promising freshman class.
It is a similar story at the bull position (hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker), where two key contributors are gone, but IU has an experienced veteran and a promising replacement.
