If you trust the oddsmakers, Indiana could be in for a slow start and a strong finish in 2021.

Barstool Sportsbook has published point spreads for each of Indiana’s 2021 games, and Indiana fans can hope that the early expectations are as wrong as most IU prognostications were in 2020.

The outlet projects Indiana to finish with a 7-5 record in 2021, and to reach that mark the Hoosiers will need to win four of their last five games.

    Here is a game-by-game summary of Barstool’s lines for IU’s 2021 season:

    Sept. 4 – at Iowa (Indiana +5.5)
    Sept. 11 – Idaho (Indiana -32.5)
    Sept. 18 – Cincinnati (Indiana +1.5)
Sept. 25 – at Western Kentucky (Indiana -21.5)
Oct. 2 – at Penn State (Indiana +6.5)
    Oct. 16 – Michigan State (Indiana -16.5)
    Oct. 23 – Ohio State (Indiana +11)
    Oct. 30 – at Maryland (Indiana -6.5)
    Nov. 6 – at Michigan (Indiana +3.5)
    Nov. 13 – Rutgers (Indiana -16.5)
    Nov. 20 – Minnesota (Indiana -6.5)
    Nov. 27 – at Purdue (Indiana -6.5)

Indiana surprised the oddsmakers regularly in 2020, with wins that were unexpected against Penn State, Michigan and Wisconsin.  Moreover, according to Barstool Sports, Indiana had the best season long cover percentage in the country in 2020, at 87.5 percent.  The Hoosiers are 14-7 over the last two seasons under now fifth year head coach Tom Allen.
