IU basketball staff lining up visits to see several 2025 prospects this week

The college basketball calendar flips to a “recruiting period” on Wednesday, signifying authorized athletics department staff may make in-person, off campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.

This means of course the IU basketball staff is hitting the road in the days, weeks, and months to come.

It should come as no surprise they’ll focus on their priority class of 2025 targets first.

So far, reports of plans by Indiana to travel this week to see 2025 targets Bryson Tiller, Jalen Haralson, Mikel Brown, Braylon Mullins, and Trent Sisley have surfaced by multiple outlets.  The list of 2025s they’ll visit will likely grow in the days to come.

The recruiting period runs for several months with some breaks along the way, so this is just the beginning of the IU staff connecting in person with prospects throughout the various high school classes.

Overtime Elite tells TDH the IU staff will be in to visit Tiller at some point this week.  Tiller attends Overtime Elite and is also a product of Atlanta where the program is headquartered.  The 6-foot-9 Tiller is a 5-star who visited IU in December and could schedule a return trip.

Haralson, who attends La Lumiere School in northern Indiana, will see the staff just days after leaving Bloomington for his official visit.  The 6-foot-6 5-star guard/wing posted photos and videos of his visit, and told On3’s Joe Tipton he had a “great overall visit” to the IU campus.

The 6-foot-3 Brown, a 5-star point guard, will see the staff twice in the course of a couple weeks.  He’s coming to Indiana for an official visit the weekend of Sept. 13.  Brown attends DME Academy in Florida, where the staff will head this week.

Mullins and Sisley, in-state products and teammates on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, are visiting IU together the weekend of Sept. 20.

Like Brown, Sisley is in central Florida after transferring to Montverde Academy from Heritage Hills H.S.  Mullins, probably the preseason favorite for 2025 Indiana Mr. Basketball, attends Greenfield Central H.S.

Of course all of the other main schools recruiting these key 2025 targets will be on the road in the days to come as well as we hit closing time with high school seniors ahead of the November early signing period.
