Indiana defeated Nebraska 96-90 in overtime on Friday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.
The three keys, highlights and final stats from the game are below. The Hoosiers (10-1, 1-1) will return to action next Saturday at the Crossroads Classic against Notre Dame in Indianapolis.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Hoosiers dominate the glass. Indiana won the rebounding battle 54-31, had 19 offensive rebounds, and 26 second chance points. A clear point of emphasis, IU attacked the glass relentlessly and looked to take advantage of a major size advantage. If the game was won or lost on one aspect of the game, rebounding was clearly it.
2. Nebraska responds to Indiana’s fast start. After IU jumped out to an early 13-4 lead, Husker head coach Fred Hoiberg had the right adjustments. Nebraska used their smaller lineup and spread out IU’s defense, beating the Hoosiers with cuts and drives to the basket. On the other end Nebraska went with a variety of defensive looks including a lot of zone that forced IU into a perimeter shooting team. Indiana shot 5-of-25 from long range.
3. Balanced attack once again for IU. With four players with at least 14 points, Indiana was one again balanced offensively. Trayce Jackson-Davis led the way with 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Justin Smith and Rob Phinisee had 16 each and Al Durham contributed 14.
