When the 2019-20 Indiana basketball schedule was released in late August it did not include any exhibition games.

We have since learned that the Hoosiers will play a closed-door scrimmage against Marquette on October 20, and today the program announced that it will play one home exhibition game against Gannon University.

IU shared the news about the contest against the Erie, Pennsylvania school on Twitter.

    📅 Schedule Update 📅

We will host Gannon University for an exhibition game on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7pm.

Gannon competes at the NCAA Division II level.  It named Kelvin Jefferson as its new head men’s basketball coach in April.

Below is the full release from the school:

Hoosiers To Host Gannon in Preseason Exhibition Game

The Indiana University men’s basketball team will host Gannon in its lone public exhibition game during the 2019-20 season.  The game will be held Tuesday, October 29 at 7 p.m. in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers are 26-0 against non-Division I teams in exhibition play since 2004-05.  Gannon is a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
