Indiana at Northwestern: Reneau and Tucker upgraded to questionable on availability report

Indiana forwards Malik Reneau and Bryson Tucker are officially progressing towards returns to the floor.

Both players are listed as questionable to play according to the Big Ten availability report ahead of IU’s 7 p.m. ET tip at Northwestern Wednesday evening (BTN).

Reneau was injured during the first minute of Indiana’s Jan. 2 game against Rutgers.  He’s been listed as out and has missed every game since after suffering a right knee injury.

Indiana’s second-leading scorer and rebounder, Reneau has participated in multiple team workouts over the last week and is expected to play at Northwestern barring any gameday setbacks.

The question remains whether he will be immediately reinserted into the starting lineup, and how many minutes he will play.  The Hoosiers were 4-2 in games he missed, including the Rutgers game.  The stretch included road wins against Ohio State and Penn State, and a pair of embarrassing 25-point losses to Iowa and Illinois.

Tucker suffered a right pinkie finger injury and was listed as out and missed Indiana’s last game at Ohio State.

Indiana could be at full strength against the Wildcats with one long-term exception.

Sophomore guard Gabe Cupps continues to be listed as out after knee surgery.  He’s expected to miss the rest of the season.

On the Northwestern side, no players are listed as questionable or out.

    Indiana (14-5, 5-3) vs. Northwestern (11-7, 2-5)
