Indiana announced the timing for the 2023 edition of Hoosier Hysteria, the basketball kickoff event for the men’s and women’s hoops programs.
Hoosier Hysteria will start at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 20. The event is part of an action packed weekend in Bloomington that includes homecoming, and the IU football game against Rutgers.
As previously reported, rap artist Gucci Mane will perform after the basketball action.

The IU basketball men start their 2023 season on Nov. 7 when they host Florida Gulf Coast. The women start two days later when they host Eastern Illinois.
