Nine former IU basketball stars are playing at the highest level of the game during the 2019-20 season.  We will be monitoring their seasons with monthly updates.

Below we summarize their year to date performance with NBA stats through February and provide a brief update on each player.

    OG Anunoby – Toronto

Now in his third season in the league, the 22 year old Anunoby is starting to blossom in Toronto.  He had an especially productive February as his numbers went up across the board and Anunoby is now putting up career bests in every major statistical category.  He had 13 steals in his last two games while averaging 24 points and 8 rebounds in those contests.

    2019-20 YTD Stats:

    Games/Games Started – 59/58

    MPG – 29.7 (career high)
    Points – 10.7 (career high)
    Rebounds – 5.4 (career high)
    Assists – 1.6 (career high)
    Blocks – .7 (career high)
    Steals – 1.4 (career high)
    FG% – .505 (career high)
    3FG% – .371 (ties career high)
    FT% – .700 (career high)

    Thomas Bryant – Washington

    Photo of Thomas Bryant

Bryant has dealt with a foot issue this season.  That caused him to miss five games in February, and his numbers have declined slightly while he is on a minutes restriction.  Bryant still has a major role for Washington and is enjoying a career best season nearly across the board.

    2019-20 YTD Stats:

    Games/Games Started – 34/24

    MPG – 24.0 (career high)
    Points – 12.4 (career high)

    FG% – .599
    3FG% – .375 (career high)
    FT% – .720

    Yogi Ferrell – Sacramento

Now in his fourth season in the NBA, Ferrell hasn’t been able to carve-out substantial minutes with the Kings this year.  He appeared in just five games in February.

    2019-20 YTD Stats:

    Games/Games Started – 43/0

    MPG – 11.2

    Eric Gordon – Houston

Gordon had knee surgery earlier in the season and has missed time recently with a bruised right knee.  The former IU one-and-done star has struggled to find a rhythm this season but there is a long way to go with the Rockets seemingly set for another playoff run.
