Listen below as former IU basketball great Ted Kitchel joined The Ride with JMV on Friday to discuss a number of topics.

Kitchel was a member of three Big Ten Championship teams in 1980, 1981 and 1983.  He started in the 1981 National Championship game against North Carolina and was a first team All-Big Ten pick in 1982 and 1983.

The Galveston, Ind. product averaged a career best 19.6 points per game in 1982.  Kitchel set an IU record in 1981 by making 18 of 18 free throws against Illinois and ranks third on the IU career list for free throw percentage.

Kitchel has Parkinson’s Disease, and he’s sponsoring the Ted Kitchel Golf Outing for Parkinson’s Disease.  You can learn more about Kitchel’s golf outing by GOING HERE.
