First Look: IU football 2021 depth chart

Indiana released its 2021 football media guide and record book on Friday, and in it was the first depth chart for the 2021 campaign.

While there weren’t many surprises in the first edition of the depth chart, it definitely comes with a couple caveats.

First, several transfers arrived after spring practice, meaning the staff hasn’t had a look at them on the field.  It would be difficult to place anyone in that category at the top of the depth chart irrespective of their credentials.  USC transfer running back Stephen Carr is a good example.  Second, tight position battles are typically won or lost at fall camp, not in the spring or summer.  This edition of the depth chart entails a bit more deference to what has been done in the past, but future roles will be settled in August.

The complete depth chart from IU Athletics is below.
