A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against Indiana University in which former men’s basketball players alleged improper sexual conduct by former team doctor Brad Bomba. The judge ruled the players’ complaint fell beyond the two-year statute of limitations. Former players Haris Mujezinovic and Charlie Miller first attached their names to the lawsuit in October 2024, and they were joined by two others.  The athletes connected to the lawsuit all played at IU more than 20 years ago. The Indiana Baseball team will get the chance to play at one of the sport’s most iconic venues when the final month of the regular season begins. Head coach Jeff Mercer and his squad will play the opening game (Friday, May 1) of their series against Northwestern at Wrigley Field – the iconic home of the Chicago Cubs. It’s the fourth straight year that the Wildcats have hosted a game at the Friendly Confines. IU’s game against Northwestern will be the first contest the program plays at an MLB stadium since a March tournament at T-Mobile Park (Mariners) in 2019.…

According to multiple Wednesday evening reports, IU basketball is hiring Thomas Carr as an additional assistant coach. The Daily Hoosier can confirm the news via a source. The move brings Indiana to the allowed total of five full-time assistants. Carr just finished his second season at the University of Louisville as an assistant coach under Pat Kelsey in 2025-26. Carr spent the previous two seasons (2022-23, 2023-24) on College of Charleston’s staff with Kelsey.
