Watch as IU football running back Roman Hemby met with the media on Tuesday in Bloomington as the program continues spring practice. Hemby transferred to IU during the offseason from Maryland.  Over four seasons at Maryland, Hemby played in 42 games and amassed 2,347 yards on the ground with 22 touchdowns. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry. He has also caught 112 passes for 921 passing yards and five touchdowns. To say the least, Hart has had an improbable journey to the Padres’ starting rotation. He pitched for IU from 2012-2016 and has only appeared in four MLB games — and that was back in 2020 with Boston. The left-hander allowed 19 earned runs in 11 innings over four appearances in 2020. After leading one of the nation’s top defenses in 2024, Haines signed a new contract during the offseason that made him one of the highest paid assistant coaches in college football. Below is the latest IU basketball scholarship chart, rolled forward to the 2025-26 season. The latest updates reflect the attrition from Mike Woodson’s final team, and early spring additions under Darian DeVries. We’ve also updated the chart to reflect the expected change to allow up 15 men’s basketball players on scholarship beginning in 2025.  Although 15 players may be allowed it is likely the Hoosiers will add no more than 13 players.  Scholarship additions over 13 are expected to adversely impact the amount of revenue allowed to be shared with athletes, creating a deterrent for exceeding 13. Multiple Wednesday reports indicated West Virginia wing Tucker DeVries signed with Indiana. Indiana was unable to confirm Wednesday DeVries has actually signed.  He is seeking a hardship waiver from the NCAA.  IU was also unable to confirm the status of that request. The 6-foot-7 Tucker is the son of new IU head coach Darian DeVries. In any case, Indiana is expected to add Tucker DeVries from the transfer portal.  Perhaps it’s best to call him a commit at this point.  He wore an IU sweatshirt to his father’s introductory press conference, and has a photo of him wearing an IU…
