    Hoosiers in the NFL: Week 15 results and notes for former IU football stars in the league

    15 weeks of the 2021 NFL season are now complete for former IU stars with teams in the league.

    Take a look at how they all did with our quick recap of the Hoosiers in the NFL.

    Tevin Coleman (RB) – New York Jets

    Tevin Coleman had eight carries for 50 yards in the Jets 31-24 loss to the Dolphins.

    On the season, he has 65 carries for 293 yards and 10 receptions for 45 yards in nine games played.

    Dan Feeney (OL) – New York Jets

    Dan Feeney started all 16 games and played 100 percent of the offensive snaps last year for the Los Angeles Chargers. He also played on 16 percent of the special teams snaps.

    Now with the Jets Feeney is primarily a backup offensive lineman and has appeared in 44 special teams snaps and 19 offensive snaps on the season.

    Brandon Knight (OL) – Baltimore Ravens

    The 2021 season marks Brandon Knight’s third in the NFL.

    For his career, he has appeared in 21 games while starting 10.

    Knight was waived by the Cowboys on October 16.  On October 18, the Ravens were awarded Knight off of waivers.

    He announced on Twitter that he will be stepping away from football for the rest of the season to focus on his mental health.

    Rodger Saffold (OL) – Tennessee Titans

    Due to a shoulder injury, Saffold did not play in the Titans 19-13 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

    He has also been ruled out for tomorrow night’s game against the 49ers due to COVID.

    Saffold had started for the Tennessee Titans in every game this season up until their matchup with the Steelers.

    Appearing in 158 NFL games with 155 starts, he is the longest tenured Hoosier in the NFL.

    Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (WR) – Tennessee Titans

    Westbrook-Ikhine started his third game in a row, catching four passes for 32 yards on seven targets.

    In six games started and 13 games played this year, Westbrook-Ikhine has 32 receptions for 360 yards and three touchdowns.

    Ian Thomas (TE) – Carolina Panthers

    Ian Thomas started his ninth consecutive game for the Panthers in their 31-14 loss to the Bills.

    He had one reception for five yards.

    On 26 targets this season, Thomas has 14 catches for 151 yards in 14 games played.

    Jason Spriggs (OL) – Atlanta Falcons

    Jason Spriggs is in his fifth NFL season and first with Atlanta.

    In the Falcons loss to the 49ers on Sunday, Spriggs played on 12 percent of the snaps on special teams.

    He has played in all 14 games this season and in 58 his for career, registering 10 starts.

    Jamar Johnson (DB) – Denver Broncos

    Jamar Johnson was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.

    He made his NFL debut on Sunday in the Broncos 15-10 loss to the Bengals, playing on 50 percent of the special teams snaps.

    Wes Martin (OG) – New York Giants

    The Giants fell to the Chargers 21-6, which puts them at 4-10 overall. Martin did not see any game action, although he is on the Giants active roster.

    For his career he has appeared in 29 games with 10 starts.

    Nate Sudfeld (QB) – San Francisco 49ers

    After being placed on the active roster for a few weeks due to injuries at the quarterback position, Nate Sudfeld is now on the 49ers practice squad.

    For his career Sudfeld has played in four games and he is 25 of 37 passing for 188 yards and a touchdown.

    Jordan Howard  (RB) – Philadelphia Eagles

    Jordan Howard had 15 carries for 69 yards in the Eagles win over Washington on Tuesday.

    On the season, Howard has 66 carries for 343 yards and three touchdowns in five games played.

    Other News and Notes:

    Linebacker Tegray Scales is on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad.
