UPDATE:  The Indiana players intended to play in the Pro-Am but will no longer be participants.

    The original story follows.

    ——————————

IU basketball players Xavier Johnson, Tamar Bates, Anthony Leal and Miller Kopp will all be in action in Noblesville, Ind. on Tuesday evening as part of a new event.

The four are participating in a competition called the Dizzy Run Pro-Am, the brainchild of former Indiana Mr. Basketball and Virginia national champion Kyle Guy, along with former Harlem Globetrotter Derick Grant.

The event is being held in the Finch Creek Fieldhouse, at 16289 Boden Rd, Noblesville, IN, 46060.

According to the organizers, the event is free to the public.  There are six teams in total, and the schedule for this Tuesday evening is as follows:

    • 7 p.m. – Team M14 Hoops (Xavier Johnson) vs. Team Ares Elite
    • 7 p.m. – Team Mojo Up (Tamar Bates) vs. Team Shoot 360
    • 8:15 p.m. – Team KGF (Anthony Leal and Miller Kopp) vs. Team ITGH

Several other noteworthy players are involved, including former IU center Joey Brunk, NBA player Gary Harris, Trevon Blueitt (formerly with Xavier), Kelan Martin (formerly with Butler), Purdue commit Myles Colvin, multiple current Butler players, and Guy.

There will be games every Tuesday from July 12 to August 2, with a championship on August 6.

You can watch Guy talk about the genesis and vision of the event below:

Tuesdays at @mojoupsc are about to be FUN.

Love what @kylejguy & his trainer @DGMindset are doing for the city & the game w/ @dizzyruns. The talent in this Pro-Am is next level. You know where to find me the next few weeks🍿📈⬇️ pic.twitter.com/FO9dobzN8R
