The Big Ten Conference office announced on Tuesday the conference baseball awards for the 2023 season with Indiana well represented. IU freshman outfielder Devin Taylor highlights the 2023 postseason awards with the Big Ten Freshman of the Year award and first-team All-Big Ten. In total, six Hoosiers earned accolades from the conference coaches. Taylor is the third Hoosier to earn the Big Ten Freshman of the Year award, joining future MLB players Alex Dickerson (2009) and Sam Travis (2012). He is just the second IU rookie to earn All-B1G first team honors and the first position player to do so…

For the first time since 2013-14, the Indiana men’s basketball program has led the Big Ten Conference in attendance. The program finished 8th in the country with 273,721 fans passing through the doors of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in 17 home games. IU averaged 16,101 fans per contest and listed a capacity of 17,222 during 12 regular season matchups and two preseason exhibitions. Two events in Southern Indiana in the coming weeks will provide an opportunity for fans to mingle with IU athletes and coaches while also raising money for name, image and likeness (NIL) endeavors. Indiana formally announced the addition of Miami (Fla.) transfer forward Anthony Walker on Tuesday morning, including comments by head coach Mike Woodson. The 6-foot-9 Walker joins the program with one year of eligibility remaining. Hoosiers for Good, one of IU’s two main and official NIL collectives along with Hoosiers Connect, announced another signing class on Tuesday morning. The latest group involves 24 Indiana athletes and 10 charities.  Highlighting the group are 12 members of the IU football team, and IU women’s basketball star Mackenzie Holmes. Last November, Indiana announced that an anonymous donor committed to matching up to $1 million in donations made to Hoosiers Connect or Hoosiers For Good. In the annual report Hoosiers For Good recently released, the nonprofit organization said it raised more than $3.8 million from 224 donors. Twelve donors…
