The schedule had set up this weekend’s Indiana/Penn State tilt as a classic “look ahead” trap game. In yet another way this 2019 Indiana football season has hearkened back to the program’s last era of sustained high level play. The Hoosiers are ranked in the Top 25 in this week’s Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll. It is the first time that IU has been ranked in either poll since 1994. While the Hoosiers chalked up win number two, a feisty Viking squad allowed little opportunity for IU to walk away feeling a great deal of satisfaction. When he committed to Indiana over a year ago, Armaan Franklin really wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to his role with the team as a true freshman. Indiana’s struggles shooting the ball from behind the three-point line over the last two seasons are well documented.
