To help you stay abreast of all of the latest news for Indiana’s top 2020 recruiting targets, you can refer back to these recruit profile pages from our recruiting drop down menu.

At the bottom of each profile page is all recent coverage of the individual player, including both original reporting by The Daily Hoosier and linked articles in The Daily Hoosier Report.

Status —  OFFERED (June 2018)

Hometown – Gallipolis, Ohio (Huntington Prep)
Position – Forward / Center
Height – 7-foot
Weight – 220
247 Sports Composite Rating – 4-star (No. 109)
Primary Competition – Ohio State, Louisville, Baylor, Purdue

Timeline — Loveday should be cutting his list to a top five in August and then will schedule official visits with a decision to follow prior to the early signing period.

Indiana Connections — Indiana offered Loveday early and have been a constant in his recruitment for well over a year.  The IU staff has southern Ohio connections that go back to their time at Dayton.

Numbers — Playing 22.6 minutes per contest for the Pennsylvania based Wildcats Select on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit, Loveday averaged 8.1 points on 52.2% shooting overall and 29.4% from three-point range.  He added 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

“One of the most skilled frontcourt prospects in the 2020 class, a lefty with great touch to the perimeter that can score from 20-feet and in, he is also a precise passer that can finish and rebound within traffic.”

“With his combination of size, length, and plus athleticism, Loveday is one of the more intriguing bigs in the class of 2020.”

— Brian Snow, 247Sports

“I think I would fit in really well with them and their offense. Indiana is a basketball state, and it is a basketball school, and I like that.”

— 247Sports($)

“(IU coach Archie) Miller has been contacting me directly a lot. I feel like they’ve been showing me a lot of love, that they really, really would like to have me get back up for an official sometime this fall.”

— Indy Star
